My drawing program of choice: CSP!
Ascent Reruns - "Solace" & "Contact"
Going into Season 03 I transitioned into a new drawing program to make Ascent - Clip Studio Paint!
I started using it in 2018 after my move to New York (not because of my move, just coincidentally at the same time), and I love using it. The animation tools are fantastic, the customization is gleefully flexible, performance is great, file size is great, and frankly it just feels good. It’s hard to explain. Using Photoshop it feels like my brush goes into a digital frame, but drawing in CSP feels like I’m drawing on top of a canvas.
I could sing CSP praises all day (despite their questionable pricing tiers of recent years), but won’t. Just know I prefer it over Photoshop.
But I also won’t hate on Photoshop! Photoshop is great for specific things too - rigid document creation, batch processing, photo-editing… many things CSP is not good at.
CSP and Photoshop are both great. All drawing programs are great!
Except Procreate. I’ve tried but I don’t jive with that one.
